John McCain and Barack Obama Confirmed to Present Urban Agenda at National Urban League Conference

NEW YORK, July 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Urban League announced today that Senators John McCain and Barack Obama are confirmed to speak at its 98th annual conference, taking place in Orlando, Florida, July 30 through August 2. Both presumptive presidential nominees have accepted the invitation to share their individual plans for an urban agenda, and to comment on the National Urban League's Opportunity Compact, the organization's plan to increase opportunities for underrepresented populations.

Both presidential candidates are confirmed to address the National Urban League audience live from the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort. Senator John McCain is scheduled to speak at 11:00 am on Friday, August 1, and Senator Obama is slated for 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 2.
The 4-day conference, entitled "Get, Grow, and Go" is expected to draw up to 10,000 attendees from across the nation to the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Florida from July 30 through August 2. It will feature 80 distinguished speakers and experts in 18 workshops focused on career development, wealth accumulation, entrepreneurship, financial education and health and wellness. In addition to the Presidential Forum, the annual conference will also feature plenary sessions addressing "The State of Black America: In the Black Woman's Voice" and "Globalization and the Opportunity Compact."
