There's one group of costumed revelers going door to door Friday night, not looking for candy at all. Instead they're actually trying to help people get something much more valuable. WFMZ's Joel D. Smith has more on their unique delivery methods. They may look like candy seekers, but their actually looking for something else.

Hi, I'm Erica Rodriguez from Democracia USA, we're just coming out today to give a friendly reminder.

Reporter A reminder that in a few days we're all treated to the opportunity to have our voice heard, and vote. Gabrielina They need reminding because they are busy going to work, a lot of things to do. We need to remind them.

Reporter So that's why pirates and nuns from Democracia USA are out to spread the word, and spread the fun. Erica I really didn't want to work today. But since we got to dress up in costumes and knock on people's doors, I thought it was a cool idea and fun.

Reporter Erica Rodriguez is concentrating on younger voters.

Erica Not a lot of people think it's important, they think it doesn't count or whatever,. So that's why I did it mostly , to get young people to vote.

Joel D. This group says they've signed up more than 20 thousand new voters , so now the key is actually getting them to vote. If they didn't, that's what they would consider scary. >>13:21 Erica I'd be upset, because every time I register someone I ask them, make sure you actually go out and vote, don't register if you are not going to vote.

Reporter The ones that answer the knock this afternoon seem receptive. But then again, what are you supposed to say, when a nurse shows up at your car door.

Erica Every vote counts, every vote counts.

Reporter Trick or vote... Election day is just 4 days away. In Reading, Joel D. Smith, 69 News Berks Edition.
